"No Need to Reinvent the Wheel": Why Teachers (and Students) are Loving Team English
Updated: May 16

When I first started sketching out the concept for Team English, my publishing team and I had a very specific goal: move away from the "isolated exercises" model and create something that felt cohesive, authentic, collaborative and, most importantly, exciting for both students and teachers.
I recently received some feedback from a teacher that truly made my week. After years of using other materials, they made the switch to Team English, and their experience highlights exactly why I wrote this series.
Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Engagement
One of the most rewarding things to hear was how the integrated themes are working.
According to this teacher’s experience:
"I like that the grammar part is clearly linked to the texts and not included as detached moments."
Often, grammar can feel like a "chore" tucked away at the back of a book. My goal was to weave it directly into the texts so it feels relevant.
Meeting Every Learner
The most heartening part of the feedback was hearing how the book handles the diversity of a modern classroom. It’s a tough balance to strike to make sure no one is left behind while ensuring the faster learners (or those with more background knowledge) don't get bored.
The teacher shared:
"The experience is that the students appreciate the teaching material and it is easy to meet different students' needs. I think the material generally challenges even strong students."
Knowing that the tasks are deep enough to stretch high-achieving students, while the structure remains accessible for everyone, is exactly what I hoped to achieve.
Why It Matters
As an author, you hope the themes and activities will resonate, but hearing that it helps a teacher "not have to reinvent the wheel" is the ultimate compliment. It means the book is doing its job: freeing up teachers to focus on their students while keeping those students challenged and inspired.

A Heartfelt Thank You
To all the educators who have reached out with stories of your students building their
English language abilities through these pages—thank you. You are the reason these books exist!
And for those asking what’s next? I’m thrilled to share that Activity Book C is in production right now and I can't wait to get it into your hands!
