Multilingualism

As the Subject Facilitator for English & Bilingualism for all 48 IES schools in Sweden, I have presented numerous times at company-wide conferences, and provided guidebooks on bilingualism in the classroom. Additionally, I have worked closely with my teams at my own school to integrate multilingualism into our classrooms (all classrooms!) by educating and supporting teachers on how to do so.

In the fall of 2024, the Swedish School Inspectorate conducted a thematic quality review on bilingualism at our school. We earned top marks on the review and they had no notes for improvement on our work (a rarity).

ELL Guidebook for Mainstream Teachers

This guidebook caters to mainstream teachers who want to support in teaching ELL students in their classrooms by providing information and practical strategies.

Conference Guest Speaker

In 2020, I had the privilege of addressing some 200 new teachers on the topic of bilingualism in our schools at the start of year company conference. You can watch a video of the session by following the link below.

Company-Wide
Bilingualism Handbook

This guide, updated by me during my time as the subject facilitator for English in the school's company of 48 schools across Sweden, compiles information from the latest research on effective strategies for the multilingual classroom.

Professional Development for My School

In my role as academic manager at IES Borås, I provided professional development in multilingualism each year. These sessions contributed to our success with the Swedish School Inspectorate's thematic quality review of our school regarding bilingualism.
